Translations

To access this page, open Super Subscriptions > Settings > Translations and choose a language. Click a category such as Subscription offers, Widgets, Customer portal (legacy), Subscription portal, Notifications, or Bundles to open its translation editor. The URL ends with that category key, for example /app/settings/translations/subscription-plans.

Use this editor to translate labels for a specific part of the app. A top bar lets you switch languages or categories, a sidebar lists the translatable resources, and the main area contains all labels in editable tables. Changes are saved with the Save bar when you switch groups or leave the page.

Language and category selectors

At the top of the page you can pick a language and switch between categories without returning to the main Translations page.

  • Language

Choose from your published store languages. Only non-default languages appear in the dropdown.

  • Translation group

Jump between Subscription offers, Widgets, Customer portal (legacy), Subscription portal, Notifications, or Bundles.

Translatable resources

The sidebar lists the specific resources inside each category.

  • For Subscription offers, tabs represent each subscription offer.
  • For Widgets, tabs represent each widget design.
  • For Notifications, tabs list every email template.
  • For Customer portal (legacy) and Subscription portal there is a single group of labels.
  • For Bundles, the first tab holds the shared Bundle widget labels and each bundle after it has its own tab with the text you wrote for its bars.

Select a resource to load its translation sections in the main panel.

Editing labels

  1. Locate the text you want to translate in the table under its section heading.
  2. Enter the new wording in the right-hand column.
  3. Click Save (or the save bar button) to apply your changes. The updated labels display on widgets, emails, or the portal according to the category.

Applying language defaults

Apply defaults on the main Translations page fills in ready-made wording for every label the app generates itself, in each of your store languages and in your own store language. It covers the widget labels, the customer portal, the email templates, and the bundle labels below.

It never overwrites wording you have already saved, so it is safe to run again after you add a new language. Text you wrote yourself, such as your offer, bar, and bundle titles, is not touched: only the app's own labels have defaults.

Translating bundle labels

The Bundle widget labels tab in the Bundles category covers the text the app generates around your bars, not the text you typed yourself. It is split into three sections:

  • Bundle widget labels, the block title, the savings chip, the per-unit price suffix, and the free gift and free shipping labels shown on a bar.
  • Build-a-box labels, everything a build-a-box bar prints around its choices: the 'Includes' heading, the heading above a set of choices, the pick prompts, the selection counter, and the message shown when a shopper has not picked enough.
  • Reward and free gift labels, the headings above Buy X Get Y rewards and chosen free gifts, plus the 'Free' price shown on each one.

Some of these labels contain placeholders in curly brackets. Keep the placeholders in your translation, and move them wherever the sentence needs them:

  • {value} in the savings chip, replaced with the discount.
  • {count} for how many items the customer has picked, {min} and {max} for a group's limits, and {remaining} for how many more are still needed.
  • {pick} in the selection counter, replaced with the pick prompt.

The selection counter is the small line above a build-a-box group's products. By default it reads {count} / {max} · {pick}, which a shopper sees as "0 / 2 · Pick 2". Because the whole line is a single label, you can reorder it, change the separator, or drop the pick prompt entirely, so it reads naturally in each language.

Each bundle's own tab holds the wording you authored for that bundle: bar titles, subtitles, descriptions, custom badges, savings text, and the heading above each build-a-box group you named yourself.

Build-a-box group headings work in one of two ways, depending on whether you filled in Group name on the bar:

  • You left it empty. Every shopper sees the shared 'heading above a set of choices' from the Build-a-box labels section, so translating it once covers every bar that uses it.
  • You named the group, for example 'Choose your coffee'. That name belongs to the bundle, so it is translated on the bundle's own tab, under the bar it belongs to.

Editing original language labels

Use these pages to edit translations only. To change the original language text shown in your store, update the source in the relevant area first:

  • Subscription offers and bars

Open the Offers page, select an offer and edit the offer or bar texts.

  • Widgets

Open the Design page, click Customize, then select Labels to change the original wording.

  • Bundles

Open the Offers page and edit the bundle bar text there. The shared bundle widget labels live on the Design page under Customize > Labels.

  • Notifications
Your sender email must be verified to be able to edit these texts. You can learn how to do this in our notifications guide

Navigate to Settings > Notifications > Customer notifications. The template texts are split in two pages:

  1. To edit common email texts: Click Customize email templates.
  2. To edit template specific texts: Click on any template and edit subject lines and body text there.

  • Customer portal (legacy)

From the Settings > Customer portal page, ensure Legacy portal is selected, click Customize, then Labels. If you experience issues with Customer Account portal translations, contact support.
