Store pickup and local delivery for subscriptions
Subscriptions don't have to ship — customers can also collect orders from your store or receive them by local delivery. This guide explains what's supported, how pickup is billed, and how to set or change the delivery method on a contract.

Supported delivery methods
A subscription can use any of these delivery methods, just like a normal Shopify order:
- Shipping — delivered by your carriers using your shipping profiles.
- Local delivery — delivered within your local delivery zones.
- Store pickup — collected from one of your store locations.
The method a customer gets is based on how your store and products are set up in Shopify, and the option they choose at checkout.
Store pickup
Pickup from your own store locations is fully supported.
- A pickup subscription has no shipping cost and needs no shipping labels — there's nothing to print, and the contract shows the pickup location instead of a shipping address.
- The customer collects each renewal order from the location, the same way they would a one-time pickup order.
Local delivery
Local delivery works for subscriptions using your store's local delivery setup. Renewal orders follow your local delivery zones and rates just like one-time local-delivery orders.
Setting or changing the method on a contract
To switch a subscription to pickup (or change its pickup location / delivery details):
- Open the contract in Super Subscriptions > Contracts.
- Click Edit, then Edit shipping.
- Choose Pickup (or the delivery method you want) and select the location.
- Save.
