The one-time purchase option is not showing on the product page

If you have recently added a subscription plan for your product and enabled the widget, you may notice that the option to buy the product on a one-time basis is no longer available. This guide will walk you through the steps needed to restore the one-time purchase option.

Why is the one-time purchase option not showing in my online store?


By default, the one-time purchase option should be available for all products in your online store that have a subscription plan. However, there are two reasons why this option may disappear. This guide will explain these reasons and provide solutions to help you reinstate the one-time purchase option for your products.



Case 1: The product is designated as subscription-only


  1. In your Shopify admin, go to the Products page
  2. Select the subscription product you want to show a one-time purchase option for
  3. Scroll down until you see a Purchase options box
  4. Uncheck "Only show product with these purchase options"
  5. Click Save
  6. Open the product in your online store and ensure the one-time purchase option has appeared



Case 2: The one-time purchase option is hidden on the subscription widget


  1. Open the Super subscriptions app
  2. Navigate to the Widget and click the Customize button
  3. On the left bar, expand the One-time option drawer
  4. Tick "Show one-time purchase options"
  5. Save the changes
  6. Open any subscription product in your online store and ensure the one-time purchase option has appeared.
