When to use this guide

Use this guide if you are switching from a different subscription app and need to bring your existing subscribers into Super Subscriptions.

Step-by-step migration

  1. Activate Super Subscriptions and publish the widget

Ensure the widget is enabled on your product pages so new subscription purchases go through Super Subscriptions.

  1. Export your current contracts

Use your previous app to create a CSV export of all active subscription contracts and send it to our support team via chat.

  1. We import your subscribers

Our team will handle bringing over the contracts for you.

  1. Remove the other app

After you receive confirmation that the import is finished, uninstall the previous subscription app to avoid conflicts.

  1. Account activation

Imported contracts are only activated once you confirm you are ready, so nothing starts billing behind your back mid-migration. For current plan details, see .

Important notes

Customers are not notified during the import process, but their subscription management link will change after the migration.

Which apps can I migrate from?

We regularly migrate merchants from other subscription apps, including Recharge, Bold, Appstle, Seal Subscriptions, Loop, Skio, Awtomic, Recurpay, Subify, Subi, Utterbond, and Webrex, as well as from a plain CSV export. If your current app isn't on this list, just ask: we can usually still help as long as you're able to export your active contracts.

Common migration questions

  • Will my customers have to re-enter their payment details?

In most migrations, no. Payment information is handled securely and carried over so subscriptions keep billing. Whether payment methods transfer depends on your previous app and payment gateway, so our team confirms this with you before starting.

  • Will customers be charged twice, or charged during the move?

No. Imported contracts are activated only once the migration is confirmed complete, specifically to prevent double charges.

  • Is there any downtime?

No. Your store and existing subscriptions keep running throughout. New subscriptions flow through Super Subscriptions as soon as the widget is live.

  • Are customers emailed during the migration?

No, the import itself doesn't notify customers. Their subscription-management link changes to the Super Subscriptions portal, which they'll receive in their next email from us.

  • How long does it take?

It depends on the number of contracts and your previous app, but most migrations are quick. Share your export (or your current app and rough subscriber count) and we'll give you a timeframe.

  • What does it cost?

Migration help is free, reach out and we'll guide you through it.
